Jay Price, DVM and CEO of Southern Veterinary Partners says, “Southern Veterinary Partners is excited to expand throughout Tennessee - The Animal Clinic is our third hospital in Tennessee and second in the greater Nashville area. The veterinarians and staff at The Animal Clinic will enjoy enhanced benefits, new training opportunities and administrative and operational support from our management team. This allows them to focus their veterinary care they provide to Hendersonville pet owners.” Founded in 1974, The Animal Clinic provides preventative care, emergency medical services, boarding, and grooming services to cats and dogs in Hendersonville. Southern Veterinary Partners welcomes to our team previous owners Dr. William Shannon and Dr. Jerry Flatt along with associate veterinarians Dr. David Hale and Dr. Emily Granato.
“My partner Dr. Flatt and I have been with The Animal Clinic since 1974. For a few years, we have been discussing exit and transition strategies. During which time, we have been bombarded with offers to buy our veterinary practice. When Southern Veterinary Partners approached us, it was the first time we both felt comfortable considering their offer. We almost immediately said yes. Why did we sell to Southern Veterinary Partners? They offered a fair price and assurance that our staff was a major priority. We have had team members for 37 years and would not make a transition without knowing our employees were handled properly. Furthermore, these guys are veterinarians and know what is going on in the veterinary industry. We look forward the management of SVP mixing with the expertise of our staff that has served the pets of this Hendersonville community for 42 years!”
“So far, the transition process has gone smoothly with no problems. I am very pleased with the results of the sale and buyout. I look forward to the future of this partnership and how it will benefit the pet owners in our community,” says Dr. Jerry Flatt.
